The HYPER project recently presented its innovative technology at the Processes4Planet workshop, held in Brussels on October 24th, on the occasion of the Second European Process Industry Conference, organized by A.SPIRE. Titled “Opportunities and Challenges within Electrification of the Process Industries” the workshop attracted around fifty engaged participants and served as a platform for discussing renewable electricity’s role in the green transformation of industrial processes. Key topics included electrochemistry, resistive heating, microwave heating, and plasma technologies.
HYPER’s presentation concentrated on the challenges of electrification in process industries, particularly within its target applications: textiles, pulp and paper, and coatings sectors. HYPER’s novel approach to hydrogen peroxide production was highlighted, emphasizing the environmental benefits it could offer, such as reduced CO₂ emissions and decreased energy consumption.
The presentation concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where the audience participated actively. Bringing together several P4Planet-related projects, the event provided a networking opportunity as well as inspiration for future initiatives.
